The MFC 2000 concept has been developed in cooperation with the Royal Danish Navy in connection with the procurement of a new C4I system (Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence). The operators and engineers of the Royal Danish Navy and Saab Danmark A/S produced many new and innovative ideas during the design process.
L2DESIGN was responsible for the design and construction as well as workspace ergonomics and man-machine interface.
The MFC 2000 comprises a family of Multi Function Consoles (MFCs) ranging from rugged units for mission critical operations (Naval MIL Grade) to less rugged units for other maritime operations (Maritime Grade). The MFC 2000 is available in a number of single-, dual- or triple-head configurations, and it is a straightforward process to enhance or upgrade the console in response to changing needs.
Key characteristics of the MFC2000 consoles include:
• Flexibility in usage, design and technology
• Future-oriented and modular design
• Technological flexibility based on COTS
• User-friendly design with the operator in focus
• Groundbreaking ergonomics
